I love the Snow!!

I adore living in Colorado, the main reason is the snow. I simply love it, there is something so magical and beautiful about it. This weekend it snowed, we wrapped everyone up and hit the hills for a bit of sledging.

I am so pleased with this shot that Prince Charming took. I have made a real effort to pass him the camera this year as I hardly have any photos of me with the Oompa Loompas.

A sledging wipe-out as it's know!!

Then to the best part, once we have got home I make everyone some hot chocolate with marshmallows, an absolute must for warming up those cold little toes!!!

Just to let you know that today is the last day to sign up for Jessica Sprague's free little Christmas class that she is doing. It is a way to capture all your memories and the wonder of Christmas. I am all signed up and can't wait to get going, did I mention that I love Christmas!!

  1. Oh I miss the snow! We used to get so much snow where I live on the east coast, but in recent years we haven't seen that much. Every year I buy my kids all the snow gear and it hardly ever gets used! I love the photos! Your kids are adorable! And I so know the feeling in not being in photos.......your post has made me think about passing that camera more often:)

  3. It is fun isn't it! I especially love how the sun comes out within a day or so. The contrast between the clean pristine snow and the sharp blue sky never gets old to me! I've been meaning to ask you if you knew that you can buy a permit to cut down your own Christmas tree up in the mountains. It's so much fun - a yearly tradition for us and if you get a permit for the weekend Santa's available and Smokey The Bear. The kids really love it! We've been going for years! I highly recomend it!

  6. What an adorable bunch of photos. That snow looks just magnificent. I wore flip flops and a tank to my son's soccer game this weekend! Can't wait for some winter weather. I am making snowmen but the windows are wide open...just feels odd~

  9. Hey Tara! I'm guessing this area would be the closest if you're near 285 - www.fs.fed.us/r2/psicc/spl/xmas.shtml. You have to go up 285 to purchase a permit - it's not far about a 5-10 minute drive up 285 from 470. The cutting area is not far either if you're familiar with where Pine is off of 285 and up that road about a good 15-20 minutes. If you don't have a 4WD vehicle there are plenty of areas that are accessible. The info will also tell you about rules and regs. Let me know if you have any other questions.
