We have a Winner

I would firstly like to thank everyone who entered the March sketch competition, we had so many entries thanks to Julie's wonderful creation. It totally blew me away, I then had the very difficult job of picking a winner.

This month I decide that Vanessa's layout should win. I loved the way she turned the sketch on its side - genius. I also just love all the twirls and flowers, it is such a pretty, feminine layout. I am also thrilled that Vanessa won, Vanessa has entered every sketch competition that we have ever had. So a huge, huge congratulations to you Vanessa, you will be our May Guest Designer - yippee.

I have got to mention that Erin's layout was a pretty close second. I just love this layout, I love the photo of her daughter sitting on a beautiful quilt that her granny made her. I love the colours, the clouds and you must all know that the crocheted heart is one of my all time favourite things. Erin's photograph was also featured in this months Basic Grey newsletter, the quilt was made using Basic Grey's Sultry line fabric, go Erin's Mum, I would love someone to make me a quilt like that!! Although I could make it myself, quilting being my second love. Quilts just take far too long and I have so many UFO's sitting is the basement waiting for me to show them some sewing love. Anyway, I have digressed. Well done Erin, it was a close one.

Onwards and upwards so they say, and what a sketch we have got for you this month. Julie has excelled herself, it is a cracker.
