Birthday Bash

I can't tell you what a joy it is to have an Oompa Loompa's birthday in the Summer, all the others are in the darkest depths of Winter. We made the most of the beautiful Colorado sunshine and had her little party outside.......it was wonderful.

Is it wrong for me to still LOVE Hello Kitty? I loved it when I was little girl and must say that I am still loving it now!!

It is also fabulous to be able to have a pink party, after having two boys and putting up with all that blue!!

This is my attempt at a Hello Kitty birthday cake, I don't like to blow my own trumpet but I was very impressed with how it turned out, (just don't look too closely at HK's ears!).

I think baby Oompa Loompa wasn't that impressed with the cake, she was more interested in her lolly pop.

We had a few little party games, I feel there was a bit of cheating going on with the pin-the-bow on Hello Kitty. Eldest OL got it spot on - bless his cotton socks!!

There is something quite magical about a two year old's birthday. I love the fact that they are not really interested in their presents, they just love all the sweets.
