We have a Winner

Huge Congratulations Sophie, I just LOVED your layout. I have total respect for the way you used the circle of the sketch without actually physically using a circle - I wish my brain worked like that but alas, it does not. I also think the photo is beautiful, the random ink splatters wonderful and all in all, it is just super fab.

As always, thank you so much to everyone who entered. We would not have a competition without you all. I can't wait to see what goodies you come up with on the August sketch.

July's Sketch

It's that time again, time for me to choose a winner from the July sketch. I am thrilled with how many entries we have had, especially over the Summer hols. We have had quite a few new people entering and I must say that I am super happy to see some old friends entering too, (great to see you back Erin, Vanessa, Brigitte and Deana) .

I must also say that each month it does seem to get harder and harder to judge this competition, the standard seems to get higher as we go along. You have all done yourself proud.

So without further a do, here are the layouts......

We have a Winner......

OK, this was a really tricky one for me. I really could not make up my mind, they were all so good and so different. I must say I was very tempted to use random.org but in the end I came up with a winner. I really love Amanda's layout 'Whoo'. It could be my broody side coming out but I just really like how masculine it is especially since the subject is about meeting baby sis. If it was me, it would be all pink and glittery!! So, huge congrats Amanda, please just send me a quick email with your address and I will get your prize out.

So onwards and upwards to our July sketch. Julie has gone circular for this one, very pleased when I see a large circle as it means I get to use my circle cutter - although I must say I don't LOVE using it. Can I just ask how Julie comes up with new sketches month after month? Especially as she is now pregnant, I am super impressed that her creativity hasn't left her.

Here is Julie's take on the sketch...

and Piradee's - good on you Pirdee for slipping in a banner - LOVING the banner trend....

So I wish you all the best of luck, is it too hot to be scrapbooking??

We have a Winner

Can I just say that this has been the hardest month for me to judge the competition. They were all amazing, I loved all the different takes on the sketch, I loved all the wonderful different papers and embellishments and most of all I loved all the photos. Sometimes I wish there didn't have to be a winner and sometimes I wish I just used random.org. But as we all know I don't, so on to the winner......

Sheri's layout kept popping out at me, it is so much fun. I love all the different papers and embellishments that she used, I am really loving the strippy flower. I love the doily circles and I especially love the photos. Well done Sheri, it is a fabulous layout.

Heidi's was a very close second. Again, I loved the paper Heidi used, I adore the daisy ribbon and the pink frill and what beautiful photos. Love it Heidi.

As you all know this was the last month of the Credit Crunch kit, next month it will be no more.
I have been racking my brain with what should be the new prize. I wanted it to be a bit more than just a 'prize', I wanted there to be a bit of fun involved, so I think I have come up with quite a good alternative. I will share all the details of it tomorrow. SO a big well done to everyone, to me you were all winners!! I can't wait to see what you come up with for May's sketch, Julie's done us proud yet again.

Sketch Competition

I have got to say that this is a hard one for me this month, I think I need more time. I really can't make up my mind as they are all so good. I am going to have to sleep on it and announce the winner tomorrow. Thank you so much everyone for taking the time to enter, as I always say, we wouldn't have a competition without you all.

So, whilst I agonise, please take a look at all the wonderful entries..........
