My Sherlock Holmes Cape Attempt!!!

When I saw this over at Ruffles & Stuff's blog, I knew I was going to have to make it. She calls it her ruffle cape but I think I am going to have to rename it 'Sherlock Holmes' Cape' because that is what it reminds me of. Just add Dr. Watson and I could be mistaken for thinking that I was back in Baker's Street in London!!!

It was so easy to make and took about 20 minutes, the hardest part for me is the cutting, I hate cutting precise measurements. Not really sure how I ever actually made quilts as you need a lot of precise measuring in that game!!!

Now here is my attempt, as with most things, it never quite looks as good as the original but comparing it now, my ruffle does not seem to go past the arms, it is more of a neck ruffle. Umm, what did I do wrong??? Probably not cutting it precisely, as usual!!!

Have a happy Tuesday.
