Man of the Month

I haven't done man of the month for ages, I had sort of forgotten about it until my brother-in-law asked me about it. If you haven't got a clue what I am talking about, here is an earlier post with an explanation.

I have decided this month to make my brother-in-law.......Cameron - man of the month. I love this photo of him. He is on the tube, (London underground system) wearing an orange suit which nicely matches the orange on the seats!! He looks so dapper, might I add at this point that people in London wouldn't give his suit a second glance, anything goes in London.

Cameron is the only one in the family who is not yet married. Unfortunately he is unlucky in love and has not found the girl of his dreams as of yet. He hasn't had much luck with London girls, maybe it is the orange suit after all!! Here's to you Cameron - you are my man of the month. Good luck on your quest and hurry it up, I quite fancy a family wedding!!

Man of the Month

You may have noticed that I have not done Man of the Month for a while, the main reason being that I love Zachery Quinto and didn't want his wonderful face to leave my blog. But I feel it is time to move on and say good bye to Zach.

This month I thought our Man of the Month should be a French man, to be honest French men don't even have to look good, all the need to do is start speaking and I am smitten.

The joy of living in England is that Paris is only a 2 hour train ride away, (thanks to the Eruo Tunnel). It is so easy to zip off there for the weekend or even the day. I, like so many other English girls, got engaged in Paris. There is a standing joke that if your boyfriend wants to take you to Paris, that somewhere half way up the Eiffel Tower, he will propose.

Anyway, on to the French Men........

First up we have Vincent Cassel, I have just spent a few evenings watching his debut as Jaques Mesrine in Public Enemy Number One. Quite an amazing film and story, wonderful acting but beware, it is all in French.
Second on my list is David Ginola, a wonderful French Footballer, (soccer player). English girls think that he is the sexiest footballer alive and he is probably worth sitting through a match or two.
Third on my list is Alan Delon, I must admit that this photograph of him is of him in his prime, he is a grandpa now but to me, he is the perfect French Man pin-up. This is what French Men look like, (although obviously that are not all as gorgeous as Alan). Dark, broody and beautiful.
Fourth on my list is Jean Reno, I think he is a wonderful actor. I loved him in Crimson Rivers, Ronin, Leon and thought he was most amusing in Couples Retreat. I love his voice, I love his accent, I just think he is great.

Fifth on my list is probably the most famous French actor in America, Gerad Depardieu. What a wonderful actor, I loved him in Green Card but my all time favourite is him in the Count of Monte Cristo.
Lastly is Oliver Martniez, who didn't love him in Unfaithful and the way he stuck by Kylie Minogue when she got cancer. Good on you Oliver!!

But I have made my mind up, the Man of the Month is going to be Gerard Depardieu. What I truly love about him is that he seems to be really passionate about life. In English magazines, you often see photographs of Depardieu naked on a beach enjoying a picnic with some beautiful woman. I love that, he is not a thin man and his nose is the biggest I have seen in a while but I love his joie de vivre, his love of life. I think we could all take a few lessons from him, although I would politely decline the nude sunbathing part!!!

Man of the Month.....

I received the most amusing email yesterday from my friend Patti, she will not let this Alec Baldwin thing go.

She said that man of the month should be in the present not the past, she quite rightly said that this is not the man I would see knocking on my door:

I would in fact open the door to this:

Umm, she has got a point. I am not sure how tempted I would be to jump on that plane to Paris. But then again, nothing a bit of 'Just 4 Men' and a few weeks on the Southbeach wouldn't solve. I think Patti we are going to have to agree to disagree on the wonderful Alec Baldwin but thanks for making my day!!!

Man of the Month.....

It is my favourite time again, choosing man of the month. Also, being that is it February, I have got to choose a goodie. So I thought I would do a list of my all time favourite men. Men that I would consider leaving Prince Charming for................OUTRAGEOUS!!! Did I really just say that? Don't worry, Prince Charming knows the score.

I just think that if any of the men below knocked on my door and said, 'Tara, I have got two tickets to Pairs, do you want to come with me?", I just couldn't say no. I think it might even be rude for me not to go. I wouldn't even pack a bag, I would just leave there and then. I might not stay for long though, I mean they might look good but what if you ran out of things to say. Or what if they were snorers or even worse, vain. I couldn't go out with a vain man, I did it once, many moons ago and it was awful. He had to look at himself in every single shop window - I mean, he was good looking but enough already!! Anyway, I digress. Here are my top picks:

Zachery Quinto - you must know that I love you:

Patrick Dempsy (Mc Dreamy from Greys Anatomy) - I think I would have to change doctors if he were mine. Words would just not be able to come out of my mouth!!

James Ford (Sawyer from Lost) - I am not sure what Kate is thinking, I would so choose Sawyer over Jack - no contest!!
Antonio Banderas, I first saw him in Desperado and it was love at first sight.

Dermot Mulroney, have you seen him in Wedding Date - my all time favourite movie. He is a major dish:

Brad Pitt - I know, I know, so cliched!! But I have always liked him, even his manky beard doesn't put me off!!

My all time favourite, Alec Baldwin. Love, Love, Love him. My friend Patti and I always have a major disagreement with him. She prefers William - Ughh, how could you - far too skinny!! She also says he is way past his best, this is where we disagree. I am not fussy, I don't mind that he's a little overweight or a little grey. I still love him!! But I must admit that he was amazing in his prime:

So decisions, decisions, who out of these beautiful men should be man of the month? I mean, Prince Charming may not be famous, he may not be an actor but he is drop dead gorgeous and a fabulous Father. I am going to have to really think about this one. Who would I leave him for.........................umm, I am sorry Prince Charming but I think it has got to be Zachery Quinto. Don't worry though, I'll send you a postcard from Paris!!!

Have a happy Tuesday.

Man of the Month.....

I am well into Brothers and Sisters at the moment, I love it. So there are quite a few possibilities for Man of the Month from that show, I will share my favourites.

The obvious choice would be Rob Lowe, dreamy, funny and beautiful. Perhaps a little too much of a pretty boy although I still wouldn't say no!!

Dave Annable is just my kind of guy. A little big rugged, extremely handsome, a little bit hairy. He could be perfection.

Have you ever heard Matthew Rhys speak in his normal Welsh accent. I can't believe that he puts on that amazing American accent for the show. He has a very strong Welsh accent and it just melts your heart. No wonder he gets all the ladies!!

So there I was sat in front of the TV, happily watching brothers and sisters trying to decide which one of those gorgeous boys should be man of the month. When to my surprise I suddenly got transported back to England in a flash. Nora Walkers' love interest 'Roger' appeared, it was none other than the most wonderful, charming and dare I say it, National Treasure...........Nigel Havers. He is such a wonderful actor, he is so dashing, so eloquent and still rather handsome. I knew he would have to be the one. I knew that he would be our man of the month, yay to the older man!!

Although if I had to pick one to go kite flying with or perhaps to the park to feed the ducks, I am sorry Nigel but it would have to be Dave Annable, he is just a hotty!!!

Man of the Month.....

Yes, it's that time again, Man of the Month!!! You would be surprised how many requests I have had from the male folk in my life asking to be featured. A case in point is my brother-in-law Cameron, yes he is single. He wants to know when he is going to be Man of the Month.
Yes, he is a wonderful man. He is extremely funny, he is always immaculately turned out, he cooks and he is great with children, a bit of a catch for some lucky lady. But no, he can't be Man of the Month, I told him that he must be confusing my blog with match.com!!!
In a normal month I think I would have to chose Zachary Quinto, he plays the bad guy in Heroes. I mean he is just far too attractive, surely there must be laws out there against being that good looking.
I mean could you just imagine if he knocked on your door to take you out for supper!!! I think I would be speechless the whole evening. Although that does ring a bell, I am sure I was pretty speechless when Prince Charming picked me up on our first date. That kind of 'pinch me as I must be dreaming' moment.
Anyhow, this month is not a normal month. I am afraid there can only be one Man of the Month in December and that has got to be Father Christmas. I mean Christmas would not be quite the same without him!!
Have a Happy Thursday, is it really Thursday already!!!

Man of the Month.....

A few weeks ago I posted on my blog that I was watching Dallas. I had just finished Series 3 and it ended with JR getting shot. I quickly ordered the next series on Amazon but have not had a chance to start watching it, until last night.

I am loving it. I am three episodes in and have yet to find out who did the deed. JR is currently being operated on and no one has owned up yet!!!

I have decided to make JR Ewing my 'Man of the Month'. I love him to bits and think that he is probably one of the most amazing characters to ever be invented. Good on you Larry for depicting him so well.

Have a happy Thursday, I will keep you posted on the shooter!!

Man of the Month

When I was in the Lower Six at School we had a tradition that was called, 'Man of the Month'. On the last night of the month you had to get six pieces of paper and write down the names of six boys, five that you rather liked and one that wasn't really your cup of tea. You would then put all six pieces of paper in your pillowcase and when you woke up the next morning, you would pull one piece of paper out of your pillowcase. This was your 'Man of the Month'. The goal being that you had to kiss, (a peck on the cheek not a full blown snog) that boy and you had the whole of the month to do it in.

There were prizes for the first one who got the kiss and consequences for those who didn't achieve their goal by the end of the month, (usually having to make the other girls beds for a week or make tea for everyone one night etc). I can't tell you how much fun we had, it was great at the end of school to hear tales about close encounters or plans about how one was going to get the 'kiss'. Loved it.

I thought it would be great fun to do a 'Man of the Month' on my blog. Obviously there is only one true 'Man of the Month' in my life, my Prince Charming. What I learned about this at school and I suppose now in life, how different everyones 'Man of the Month' is.

So I have been watching the second series of 'Dirty, Sexy, Money', loving it and can't believe that they stopped making it after this series. I think there is something quite sweet about Nick, so Nick a.k.a. Peter Krause is going to be my September 'Man of the Month'.

I hope you will enjoy playing this fun little game with me, I would love to know who your 'Man of the Month' is.

I thought I would share some layouts that I did last night, I am trying to get all my Summer photos scrapped so that I can get them out the way ready for my Winter ones. Have a happy Thursday.
