The North Pole

I have lived in Denver for two years now and have always wanted to go to the North Pole in Colorado Springs. It has intrigued me, an amusement park with a Christmas theme that is open all year round!! Prince Charming had travel-guilt, (he had been away for the past few weeks) and next thing we knew we were all in the car on our merry way. It did not disappoint.

There was an amazing Heltah Skeltah.

There were flying cars, boats, horses and space ships.

There were 'silly' mirrors scattered all around.

Not that much fun my smallest Oompa Loompa though, she was too little for the rides and just had to watch her brothers have all the fun!!

And of course, there was Father Christmas himself, waiting eagerly for the children to sit on his knee and whisper their Christmas wishes. It was magical and I will definitely be going back in December with a huge thermos flask of hot chocolate and marshmallows.

  1. Isn't Father Christmas just as you'd dreamed he'd be. We're taking Boo, with Nanny & Grandad at the weekend. Thumbs up to Prince Charming... there's no better catalyst than guilt... x

  4. We took B on Friday, accompanied by her grandparents. Such a fabulous morning - no queues... yippee! She's far braver than me so daddy was her 'adventure' buddy. It was bizarre listening to the 'holiday' music with beautiful bright Colorado sunshine.

  5. My 11 year old daughter had a brilliant ideal. Buy a Spider man applique big enough to go over the teddy bear and tack it down temporarily, that way your awesome quilt is not ruined.
